Independant lawyers

For lawyers who wish to work independently, establishing a new practice will probably be easiest in small towns and expanding suburban areas. In such communities, competition from larger, established law firms is likely to be less than in big cities, and new lawyers may find it easier to establish a reputation among potential clients.

  2. yeah that makes sense, if I was trying to go it alone I definitely wouldn't go straight to London to get clients. You have to start off small, get a name for yourself then move onto bigger things. It will take time but better that than failing !

  4. I guess it also depends on what kind of lawyer you are, being that small towns are going to have a lot less litigation that in a city.

  7. Unfortunately the longer it takes to get to trial, the more you are delaying the sixth amendment rights. Well, I guess if it's alright with all the parties involved, it doesn't matter much.
